Nermin Ibrahim is an established and highly skilled Diabetes Educator with many years of experience. She is working in one of Canada’s largest leading academically-affiliated health centres, Trillium Health Partners.  She has earned her bachelor degree of Science in Nursing from McMaster University, and is currently pursuing her Master’s degree at the University of Toronto.  Nermin is well regarded in the community, earning numerous accolades for her quality and patient centered care. She has been nominated for the Toronto Star Nightengale award for 3 consecutive years as well as the Trillium Health Partners nurse of the year award for 5 consecutive years.

 In 2015, Nermin was awarded the Nurse of the year award at Trillium Health Partners for her exemplary care, and in 2018, she was recognized as a Hero in Hospital News by one of her patients for her exemplary and outstanding work ethics.  

Nermin is an active member in several committees including the Diabetes Steering Committee at Trillium health partners as well as a co-chair for the Toronto West Chapter at Diabetes Canada.
